Teaching Philosophy:

In my teaching and private tutoring my priority is for students to become confident and effective in confronting the complexities that they face. Coursework in science and mathematics provides opportunities for students to become better at constructively approaching problems of all kinds. In my teaching and tutoring my aim is to foster in students the habits of mind which will enable them to be adaptable and skillful in solving problems. In working with me students learn not only the discipline specific content of the subject that we are studying, but also ways of thinking that will allow them to meet with greater success in many contexts.
